Very nice and competent Doctor. Have used her for about 2 years. All appointments were efficient and taken in timely manner until recent when the office only has 1 Doctor since previously had 2 Doctors. Yesterday I had an appointment at 3:30 and sat in medical room for 50 minutes without seeing Doctor. I complained and Doctor came in. I was only there for medicine refill from 6 months. The scheduling isn't Doctor fault she is spread too thin.
Maybe get earlier appointment before get behind.
she was my doctor for years. i am disabled due to mental illness and due to at times boredom, also a very traumatic childhood and living with family at the time that i didnt even feel safe living with toward the end of my care with her...having always trusted her and been honest she told me she could no longer see me. my appointments took sometimes 45 minutes then telling me i had been being timed, missed appoitments (at times i was too sick and abused to even call to cancel much less drive there, and that i was "always so sick." i felt like she was like part of my family having seen her so long and trusted her. it felt like once again someone i trusted hurt me...slapped me in the face. i cried and told her i was leaving anyway because i was having palpitations, had chronic bronchitis, been on and off steroids and gained a lot more weight...was in bad physical pain from muscle spasms all over my body and connie interrupted me to tell me it would be over a week to see her. not sure if connie thought me a hypochondriac, but ended up going to the ER. my mother and brother still see her. not once has she asked about my wellbeing. overall i blame connie the office manager because when the previous manager, stephanie, was working there she made sure i got in asap for appointments and they had a sign that said "thank you for your patience as you wait. we assure you the doctor will spend the same amount of time toward your care". that sign was taken down once connie started. likely piedmont which was a nightmare.....wanted patients limited to 15 min appt or shorter to fit in as many as possible and obamacare likely made it worse but shame on Dr Kathirae Severson for treating me as she did toward the end and shame for working for such a horrible healthcare system to avoid the time and cost of private practice. I realize I was and am very ill often. if she had any fathom of the living situation i was in and what an awful time mentally ill have getting quality, caring psychiatric care if she has a heart she would have never have done that to me particularly at that time. i never told her what goes on at home with my "caregiver" and ends up i was misdiagnosed bipolar. i actually had multiple traumas PTSD to the point of disassociation and a fear of evil and even god due to brainwashing at cultist churches most my life. Please dont support this business practice of people that either dont care, are rude or burnt out trying to make lots of money instead of doing things as they should and doing something other than medicate and diagnose and actually help people heal and have quality life.
